The Film Holder tool is used for carrying out QA checks of multiple points in the stereotactic treatment volume through film dosimetry in order to assess the accuracy in the dose delivery.
A film is placed in the Film Holder Tool and the tool is docked to the LGK. The center of the hole made in the film aligns with the center of the Leksell coordinate system (100, 100, 100).
The Film Holder tool is optional and not part of the mandatory QA protocols performed by the hospital.
