Objective

To make neurosurgeons proficient in the use of Leksell Stereotactic Neurosurgery and to further develop their skills in the use of the system. The clinical part of the training focuses on functional disorders. 2-day course held at various hospitals.

• General Principles of stereotaxy, visualization and localization
• Information and demonstration of Leksell Vantage Stereotactic System
• Scientific lectures that focus on basic stereotactic techniques for different indications
• Methods for target localization
• Demonstration of how Leksell Vantage Stereotactic System is used during stimulation, DBS implantation and lesioning techniques
• Observations of clinical procedures
• Discussions on cases from the participants
• Workshop sessions with:
  Leksell Vantage Stereotactic System®
  Elekta MicroDriveTM
  Elekta Target Simulator
